I stumbled across your site and I have been back multiple times just today alone. The stories I have read and the inspiration I am getting from just knowing the meaning of such beautiful pieces of nature.
And, everytime I click on the link to get to the site, I find another interesting bit of information or another story that finds it's way into my heart.
What a remarkable site! I just wanted to say that it has been a pleasure stopping by your store and just browsing.
Thanks again!

JoDee,
First and from the bottom of my heart, I tell you that if you get the chance to go to school take it. It was all I had dreamed it would be, and more. I do not think I would be where I am today if I had not gone.
I dont mean that I wouldn't be good at making jewelry, but the change in perspective, and perception, the ability to see more than what your eyes tell you, and to see beneath the surface are only a few of the things I learned to do better.
I suck at business, and feel that will never change...I HATE paper work, I am so totally left brain...lol.
I have two things that will tell me that I have finally arrived...but I am not there yet. One, is to pay some one else to clean my house, and the other is to pay someone else to do the paperwork.
The paperwork is the one I hate the most...!
I am a one man band, but my goal is to develop at least a quartet.
Good luck to you, and god bless. Follow your heart, you will be just fine.

JoDee Says :Do you have any suggestions for me?"
Hi Shirley!
I have just discovered your sight while looking for the meanings of some stones I'm working with. I'm actually making a bracelet by request, for a friend named Shirley!! Kind of funny huh!
Anyway, I read your story and I am so impressed. I too, am at a point in my life where I'm not crazy about my work and I need to maintain my income. I have been doing clinical work as a Music Therapist and a Bereavement counselor for the past 20 years.
I have been making my own Jewelry for the past four and have been invited to shows here in Cleveland over the past year with wonderful success. I guess I'm writing to you to help me take the next huge step and make this my life. I LOVE creating and feel that I could have written so much of what is in your story. I too wish I could go to art school and learn more, but I also see that some people are just creative because it is the gift that was given them by God. I feel I fall in this category, BUT I know I have so much to learn.
Sometimes I'm afraid of being molded into something I'm not or being influenced by others work and then lose my perspective and approach to color, texture and shape, I'm sure you know what I mean.
So, all in all, was going to school worth it or do you feel you could have done what you're doing without it. Also, I feel I lack greatly in the business dealings of doing this work, how are you working your web site etc. I make only one of a kind pieces, what a challenge for selling on a site. I think I'd get bored with duplication. I've made over 400 pieces and each one is unique to itself, I love that challenge. Do you have any suggestions for me?
I'd love to hear from you!!
Take care and Good for you for taking the leap and following your heart...
I hope I'm right behind you!
Peace,
JoDee

I truly do appreciate your sensitivity...
Dear Shirley,
Thank you for your thoughtful answer to my query
about Howlite stone.
I truly do appreciate your sensitivity, as I am one
of those individuals myself......Life constantly unfolds.
Oddly enough, stones come to us when we don't necessarily
expect them.......
My mother-in-law from her hospital bed gave me a green aventurine
heart (one of several which a lady at the hospital had given her...to
share with others). My mother-in-law, who was recently diagnosed
with Cancer in the lungs, had been given a rose quartz heart. Lovely.
I shall again visit your web-site soon. It is new to me, but one which
I find most intruiguing & restful.
Again, thank you so very much.
Sincerely,
Michele F

Awesome website!
Hi Shirley~
Thank you for all of your work and information! Awesome website!
My husband and I have collected Agates since we were kids and LOVE all stones and gems. We work with them daily in our private life and in my healing business (are they any different?)
Have just spent hours browsing through your site and am sending lots of gratitude for the love you have allowed to flow through it and us.
Continued success to you and those you hold dear. Love, Joy, and Peace from Wisconsin! Jody

I love that you juse crystals to heal....
Hi Shirley,
I stumbled accross your site today while I was looking up the properties of Lepidolite and Apatite, which were my stones of choice for today (it's been Angelite all weekend!). Then, magpie that I am, I noticed that you made jewelry. So, unable to help myself, I had a look and I absolutely LOVE it!
I would also just like to say that I love that you use crystals for what they are intended for, to help people to heal! I am very lucky to have a good friend who is, I believe, a remarkably gifted crystal healer and I have been fortunate enough to have experienced truly amazing results with crystals during my own healing process and I am absolutely delighted that you are offering such a vital service to those who are willing to recieve it. And at the risk of sounding utterly shallow it's also GORGEOUS!
So the big question is....do you ship to England? and if so what are the charges etc?
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Kind regards
Kyra B

I am searching for direction...
Dear Shirley,
I stumbled across your website last night and read your story. Wow! Was I ever inspired. I am an artist myself, and presently trying to create a new direction for my life. I am separating from my husband at 34, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up! I haven't worked outside the home (I've worked as a Mom) for 10 years and now face a similar challenge that you faced.
I have always been creative, but after a short career as a Graphic Designer, I decided that wasn't the path for me. I am on a spiritual journey as well and recently received my Reiki level 2 training. But since I was a child, I've had a passion for gemstones.
I am searching for direction, and when I saw your site, and the beautiful work you create, I thought hmmm. Here is someone who has fulfilled their heart's desire. I want to pursue my passions and not just settle for any old job.
So I guess I would like to say thank you for your inspiring story.
Sincerely,
Tracy D
